Scouting for Food Collection a Great Success

Posted on Apr 11 2016 - 7:39pm

April is Scouting for Food month, and Troop 143 collected donations for the campaign on Sunday, April 10 between 8 AM and 4 PM at both Monroeville Giant Eagle stores. Once again, we had a very successful campaign. While we collected less cash this year, we collected many more items. A total of 3394 items were collected (a 43% increase over 2015) and $272.55 in cash (a 45% decrease from last year.) Overall this meant a total collection of 11,800 points. We worked 104 man hours this year, an increase over last year.
