All are invited to the picnic following the clean up at Monroeville Community Park with food and prizes. In addition, a few older scouts are needed to assist with the Shred-It Day event to be held at the same time at Monroeville Community Park; scouts helping with this activity must be at least 13 years of age and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

All Scouts and leaders need to have an updated Annual Health and Medical Form on file with the Troop, and a new form for 2014 is ready for use in preparing for Summer Camp and all the upcoming Troop events. The annual form requires a physician signature; the Troop recommends taking the form along for the annual physical examination with the family physician.

Order of the Arrow Congratulations

Posted on Apr 13 2014 - 9:01pm

During the Order of the Arrow service weekend on April 11-12, five scouts from Troop 143 not only participated but completed requirements for Scouting's National Honor Society. Three scouts completed their Ordeal and became new members of the OA, while the other two scouts sealed their membership by completing Brotherhood. During the service projects, scouts and leaders framed and closed in the bottom of the barn, cleaned the dining hall, dug trenches, built new stalls for restrooms, scraped and painted the barn window trim, and updated Camp Twin Echo for the coming summer months' activities such as NYLT, OA Conclave, Advancement Camp, and Wood Badge.
